Where Art & Adventure Collide!

Handcrafted Wooden Topographic Maps from the Heart of Kimberley, BC.

Who We Are

Hey there! We’re Ash and Jiselle from Slopeside Design — a small family business from Kimberley BC.

We fell in love with the idea of turning local landscapes into one-of-a-kind wooden topographic maps. We laser-cut birch slices, dye them and then assemble them by hand to create a unique artwork that brings the mountains to life.

From a family room conversation piece to a special gift for your outdoorsy loved ones, our maps let you bring a slice of the mountains home!

The Process

From Maps to Magic

We begin with real-world topographic data, traditional 2D maps, and our own hand-drawn terrain features. Then, we blend it all together using our custom software. The result? A one-of-a-kind design that captures unique terrain — and lets us add your personal touches, too.

The Process

Cut, Dye & Assemble

Once the design is locked in, we laser-cut thin layers of birch plywood, add dye for contrast, and stack them into a multilayered masterpiece. Each layer reveals more of the land’s shape, almost like you’re peeking at the real mountain in 3D.

The Process

Made in Kimberley, BC

All this happens under one roof in our Kimberley workshop. We’re inspired by the local slopes—and proud to do every step right here in the community we love.
